Zombie Props: Weird Shit

Zombies are a popular subject for props of all kinds, and there are simply too many for me to show you or you to want to look at here.  Pick a store, any store, and you can find props from the simplest paper cutouts of zombies to expensive pneumatic powered animatronics.  Because there is such a wide range some of them are going to be crap and others are going to be quite nice.  I've got a representative selection below to show you the type of props you can purchase with your hard-earned dosh.

First up we have this lovely zombie head bucket.  A decent little item good for parties or holding treats.  If it's a zombie theme party or not, items like this make for nice little touches.  I wouldn't use it in a traditional haunted house, but in your Zombie Apoc setting, sure.

Next we have a ground breaker.  Really ground breakers are any of a number of props that are designed to look as if they might possibly be coming up out of the ground.  What you really do is stick them in the grass and that's that.  You could go the extra mile and dig up a bit of your lawn to make it look like it is actually breaking the ground, but then you've got a torn up lawn.  It's the commitment to performance that I am questioning, not the prop.  Some people just stick them on floors and concrete like abstract art.  Ground breakers come in many varieties, including the hands and head models that you space out yourself.  I'd say go with a zombie gnome instead because that has DOUBLE CREEP FACTOR!

Next is this nice little hanging zombie torso.  Just another feature to add to your macabre dungeon of torture.  Actually that would make a pretty cool haunted setting for your home: dungeon of undead torture.  This also works for your zombie apoc front yard setting.  Strings of barbed wire to defend your outpost catching up zombies and such.

My final offering is this 5 foot tall hazmat suited zombie.  This is one of the animated types and it combines the idea of a zombie with the plague that creates zombies if you are into that whole nuclear or chemically created undead thing.  As I have said before, zombie is more of a template you just add onto something else, like biker, since zombies are just undead people.

Not very impressive, I know.
